Job Summary and Qualifications

At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our General Surgery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care to adults hospitalized with a wide variety of conditions, including surgeries ranging from gall bladder, hip, knee, neck, shoulder, kidney transplants and trauma. In addition to participating in educational activities to maintain competence and gain new knowledge, you will also develop these skills on a daily basis by providing quality care to each patient based on individual needs.

• You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers as well as document required information according to hospital policy

• Our nursing staff is expected to present themselves in a professional manner

• You must function in an organized and time conscious manner

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)

• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license

• Current BLS & ACLS certification
