Job Opportunity - Registered Nurse (Medical Care Unit) - Virginia

Start Date: February 2, 2026

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Schedule: Rotating day and night shifts with every other weekend and major holiday rotation. Patient ratio 6:1. No on-call required.

Highlights:

• 32-bed Medical Care Unit specializing in cardio-pulmonary and general medical patients
• High-acuity environment with admission/discharge volume and fast-paced care delivery
• EMR:
  Meditech 6.0; standard nursing equipment including BiPAP (stable), Mid/Flow, PD, Heparin drips, and Phillips Cardiac Monitors
• Collaborative team of 45 staff members across all shifts with dedicated Clinical Coordinators, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries
• Floating may occur to similar med-surg or step-down units as needed
• Professional dress code: navy scrubs, closed-toe and closed-heel shoes

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required (ACLS is NOT required)
• Willingness to work weekends as assigned
• Ability to manage high patient turnover and admission/discharge workflow
• Strong attendance history
• Positive, outgoing attitude with excellent teamwork skills
