· Patient Ratios : 6:1

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 42 Bed unit that cares for med-surg patients of all types, with specific care of the post-op general surgery, typically GI/GU in nature. Staffing includes Patient Care Techs of ~12:1, and dept asst(unit secretary) 7A-11p M-F and 7a-7p on S/S.

· Scheduling requirements: 3 12s/ week 7-7, every other weekend. No blocked scheduling. No specific days guaranteed

· Floating policy: C/L floats first to care for similar patient population.

Must meet patient needs timely, professionally, and with empathy. Any deviations from the highest level of nursing care will not be accepted.
