As an LPN‑LVN Extern, you will be a valued part of the nursing team, using your growing skills and hands‑on care to help deliver safe, compassionate patient care. As you advance in your LPN‑LVN program and build your expertise, you’ll have opportunities to take on more complex procedures and make an even greater impact on patients’ lives.

• Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), monitoring vital signs, and supporting patient mobility and comfort.
• Performing nursing tasks like wound care, catheter management, and non‑medicated procedures as your skills develop.
• Documenting patient information, observations and changes, and communicating important updates promptly to the nursing team.
• Helping patients and families understand their care plans and preparing them for recovery through clear, compassionate education.
• Maintaining a clean, safe patient environment by following safety protocols, managing equipment, and responding quickly to patient needs.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Currently enrolled in a Practical Nursing program.
