Medical/Surgical - Med Surg RN - Travel Nurse
Join to apply for the Medical/Surgical - Med Surg RN - Travel Nurse role at Total Med
. We're looking for RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Richmond, VA. The right RN should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
- Stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
- Easily lift 20 pounds; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- BLS, ACLS.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
Additional certification may be required before beginning an assignment.
