Summary/Objective

The Resident & Outreach Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the Recovery Resident Community while building and maintaining strong connections with current, former, and prospective participants and community partners to support long term recovery and housing stability. This position coordinates resident intake and recovery planning, maintains a comprehensive participant database, and organizes events and outreach activities that enhance recovery capital and community engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate intake, income verification, bed placement, and waiting list management, ensuring all applications, assignments, and occupancy align with applicable rules, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Implement and oversee use of the Behave Health system for measurement, planning, and engagement, including development and monitoring of individualized recovery plans and training staff, peers, and residents on system and client portals.
  • Develop and maintain a database of current, former, and prospective service recipients; track progress, implement communication protocols for follow up, and sustain ongoing contact to support recovery and re engagement in services.
  • Identify, track, and strengthen community resources and referral partners (recovery providers, hospitals, harm reduction and emergency services) to build two-way referral capacity and enhance participants' recovery capital.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement on site and community recovery events (e.g., Recovery Community Day, alumni events, resident activities, weekly outreach engagements), incorporating peer volunteers and supervising volunteers and peer staff involved in these activities.
  • Provide or coordinate REVIVE! trainings and other recovery education for Shelter, The Healing Place, Resident Community meetings, and partner settings per established schedules.
  • Supervise 1–4 peer navigators, directing daily work, supporting performance, and promoting harmonious relations among residents, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Monitor unit inspections, furnishings, and maintenance needs; prepare operational budget requests related to administrative needs and unit refurbishment and coordinate with facilities staff as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • CPRS required; RPRS preferred, with 2–4 years  related experience in the recovery field and with individuals experiencing crisis and chemical dependency.
  • Advanced knowledge of 12 step recovery programs; strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, and emergency response; ability to work effectively with diverse client populations, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with computers and mobile devices, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with the ability to learn electronic record keeping and Behave Health systems.
  • Must possess valid driver s license and be willing to travel locally.
Work Environment and Reporting
  • Full time, generally 40 hours per week with some nights and weekends, reporting to the Director of Recovery Services and working closely with The Healing Place, Works, and other CARITAS program managers.
