Material Handler – RIC4 (3‑Month Contract) Contract Details
- Pay: $19/hr
- Contract Length: 3 months
- Start Date: 2/9
- Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm // Monday-Friday
This role supports the installation of robotic arms and sub‑stations through non‑technical tasks such as material movement, workspace cleanup, and assisting project teams on the mezzanine and sub‑mezzanine levels.
Key Responsibilities- Move, strap, organize, and track materials using pallet jacks.
- Use hand tools and air‑powered tools to assemble and commission equipment following diagrams.
- Follow step‑by‑step instructions for various tasks.
- Run wiring for power supply.
- Perform general labor: heavy lifting, material handling, and basic construction tasks.
- Assist with loading, packaging, and warehouse cleaning.
- Able to lift 40–50 lbs repeatedly.
- Comfortable working 8‑hour shifts on concrete floors.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Able to take direction well.
- Flexible—willing to work in different roles (inventory, housekeeping, etc.).
- Experience in robotics, general labor, or construction is helpful but not required.
You’ll gain hands‑on experience in the material handling and automation industry while supporting the installation of advanced robotic systems in a fast‑paced environment.
Work Environment- Distribution center under construction—expect noise, dust, and crowded areas.
- High visibility role requiring a professional appearance.
- Required PPE: high‑visibility vest, safety glasses, hard hat, A6 gloves, steel‑toe boots.
- Jeans and t‑shirts are acceptable; avoid loose or baggy clothing.
This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
