Job Title:Production Scheduler
Work Schedule:1st shift
Location:P2 - Richmond, VA
What we're looking for:We are looking for a Production Scheduler who will provide administrative support to production department. Releases and distributes orders for assigned department. Performs daily production reporting.
What you'll be responsible for in this role:- Coordinates execution of department production schedule
- Gathers and reviews data from manufacturing and support organizations, coordinates with capacity and material analysis to resolve material and capacity discrepancies that affect the schedule
- Translates anticipated demand into production and purchase orders for internal and external suppliers
- Attends production and planning meetings
- Works closely with Customer Service Department, Purchasing Department, Production Department, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Shipping Department to ensure products are produced and shipped by schedule
- Processes change notices
- Fulfills replacement part orders
- Monitors daily attendance
- Completes daily MDI reports
- Provides on-job-training for new hires
- Participate in cross training program-train and be trained. Cross trains team members on processes and assists with production as needed.
- Create purchase requisitions for department supplies as required using purchasing system
- Performs safety inspections
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2+ years of experience in comparable roles.
- PC proficiency is essential, experience with Microsoft Office products and MRP systems (AS400 preferred)
- Ability to use MS Excel to analyze data and present in a meaningful manner

- Must be able to lift/pull/push 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand/sit/walk/bend/twist for prolonged periods up to 10 hours/day as needed per production area.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Computer literacy including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AS400.
- Effective leadership, administration, analytical skills.
- Organizational and time management skills required.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Ability to plan and organize and to set priorities in order to meet deadlines.
- Be flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
