Overview
Are you ready to take your project management skills to the next level? Hanover Iron Works, Inc. is looking for a Full Time Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Hanover or York, PA.
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will oversee the successful completion of various misc. metals projects from start to finish, including managing timelines and budgets, coordinating with clients, and ensuring quality control. You will be onsite to see progress unfold in real-time and contribute to transforming raw materials into architectural masterpieces.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the Detailing Manager to prepare and manage steel detailing and surveying of shop/fabrication drawings.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors of other trades to ensure smooth progress of assigned projects.
- Prepare and negotiate change orders and maintain "As Built" drawings.
- Create and establish project schedules, coordinate with contractors and trades, and maintain positive client relationships.
- Read specifications and blueprints to determine material requirements and communicate with all parties involved.
- Deep understanding of the fabricating and erecting process of miscellaneous metals.
- Experience coordinating and supervising subcontracted vendors.
- Strong ability to read specifications and blueprints to determine material requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skilled in using project management software to create and maintain schedules, track progress and manage budgets (Microsoft Project; Primavera preferred; Tekla, Trimble, Powerfab, Fabtrol preferred).
- Strong organizational skills to manage project documents in hard copy and electronic formats.
- Excellent communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Valid US driver’s license.
