PositionWe are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager to plan, organize and direct the activities of facility staff. Duties include employee relations, employee engagement, recruitment and selection, staffing matrix and flex-plan, classification and compensation, employee benefits, and organizational development training.
Work involves the application of professional knowledge and judgment to a variety of technical personnel and managerial problems and issues. Development of an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork and high-performance.
SalarySalary: $60,000 - $65,000 Annually
RequirementsMinimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or Behavioral Healthcare
Minimum experience: 5 years’ experience in Human Resources including significant management experience with a thorough knowledge of all areas to be directed within the Department. SHRM or PHR preferred.
Responsibilities- Responsible for records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, professional certifications, licensures, background checks, reference checks, performance evaluations, job descriptions and documentation.
- Oversight and supervision of staff development internal training, employee orientation program and staff development records transactions such as updated training certificates and required training hours.
- Explains Human Resources department programs, policies, and activities.
- Negotiates and resolves sensitive and controversial issues, participating in the performance management program as needed.
- Conducts internal investigations and resolves disputes.
- Attends or provides for representation of the Facility at personnel related hearings and investigations.
- Oversees the Facility drug testing program: pre-employment, post-accident and for-cause screenings.
- Oversees employee benefit program responsibilities by directing the administration of the group health insurance, dental insurance, short term/long term disability insurance and life insurance plans, COBRA and FMLA.
- Oversees the Facility’s workers’ compensation program, serving as liaison between employee, medical provider, and insurance company for any workers compensation claims.
- Analyzes existing benefit policies of the Facility and prevailing practices among similar organizations to establish competitive benefits programs.
- Plans modification of existing benefits programs and recommends changes to Administration.
- Negotiates with insurance companies, brokers, or agencies with respect to premiums, terms and conditions, renewals and modifications of insurance contracts.
- Responsible for conducting wage surveys within labor markets to determine competitive wage rates. Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
- Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of human resource management.
- Demonstrates understanding of and ability to implement the Sanctuary Model and its trauma-informed approach to services for residents and their families, the seven commitments, and the tools of the model including Red Flag meetings, Treatment Team Meetings, the SELF paradigm, safety plans and community meetings. Attends community meetings monthly.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and privacy of residents’ and employees’ personally identifiable health and personnel information in accordance with HIPAA privacy rules and facility policies.
- Meets mandatory staff development requirements per the standards of all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Demonstrates ability to rotate an Administrator On-Call as required.
