Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services of Richmond‑Sandston offers entry‑level to managerial positions and has served Richmond and surrounding areas for over ten years. We proudly serve customers in New Kent County, Chesterfield, Midlothian, and the Greater Richmond Area.
As Area Manager, you will own the delivery of commercial cleaning services for all of our clients. With 40+ clients and growth underway, you will be responsible for customer satisfaction, troubleshooting, employee management, labor, and supply budgeting. The role requires an average of 50+ hours per week, with flexibility for pre‑ or post‑normal business hours for training and resolution of issues.
Responsibilities- Establish rapport with clients to provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain an environment that is clean, attractive, and orderly.
- Ensure task lists are completed to contract plus.
- Evaluate and verify cleaning crew staff’s performance through reviews of shifts and inspections, providing direction and corrective methods.
- Identify problems and resolve issues in a timely manner by listening, gathering facts, and establishing long‑term solutions.
- Identify need and price additional work such as floor, disinfecting or project work.
- Manage employee work schedules, reviews, and approve payroll (overtime and time off).
- Ensure labor and supply costs are under budget.
- Establish workflow and assignments and document roles.
- Continuously improve efficiency and cost through improved methods and equipment.
- Interview, select, and assign cleaners to a dynamic schedule.
- Develop and grow leaders and supervisors and ensure job‑function training for employees.
- Identify staff development and ongoing training needs for each cleaning crew member.
- Demonstrate and promote company culture, values, and management philosophy.
- Ensure safety & security programs are implemented to meet clients’ high standards.
- 2‑3 years of prior management experience.
- 2‑3 years of cleaning, restaurant, or hospitality industry experience (a plus).
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with many moving parts and people.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- Floor & carpet cleaning knowledge (a plus).
- Spanish speaking (a plus).
- Military experience (a plus).
- Understanding of cost control, budgets, and financials.
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Driver's License.

This job reports to the Operations Manager. This is a Full‑Time position with the flexibility to be available when needed—days, nights, weekends.
