A leader in the financial services industry is hiring a Project & Process Manager in Richmond, VA for a full-time, hybrid contract position (3-4 days onsite)

Summary

This role will be primarily responsible for the accurate timely of documentation for the onboarding process for new affiliate partners.

We’re seeking a dedicated, responsible, process-driven professional who excels in a team environment and are experts in process improvement. You must be able to effectively communicate, exercise impeccable judgment, and influence partners and stakeholders across the company and multiple levels of the organization, as well as with third-party suppliers.

Ability to quickly come up to speed, ask relevant questions, and jump in - I am specifically looking for someone who can interrogate someone about a process, create a draft of the process, and then seek feedback to make changes on the fly. Proven ability to identify waste or inefficiencies in a process and redesign it with the buy-in of stakeholders - this could be a system process or a manual process.

Strong relationship management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to an agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. Technical understanding of websites and APIs. High degree of skill in process management documentation. Standard soft skills: autonomous, collaborative, problem solver, excellent listener, and communicator in both written and oral.

Responsibilities
  • Process:
    Design and improve processes, and deliver well-managed and scalable solutions
  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain formal process documents and informal notes on each publisher meeting
  • Communication:
    Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization; ensure appropriate management and awareness of key well-managed efforts
  • Partnership:
    Collaborate and coordinate alignment between multiple upstream and downstream stakeholder groups across all businesses and 2nd- and 3rd-line risk and regulatory bodies
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Set an agenda for process improvements and automation with a goal towards eliminating manual processes
  • Project Management:
    Deliver high-impact initiatives; lead end-to-end delivery and process transformation; detail-oriented, highly organized, and excellent follow-through
  • Issue Management and Escalation: track and resolve complex problems; elevate breakdowns and issues by asking the right questions, and identify/involve the right stakeholders to correct breakdowns
  • Metrics and Reporting:
    Collect, analyze, and measure performance and process data, to initiate sustainable business practices and procedures, and for reporting to senior leadership and executives; review data for trends and gaps in the process that may require additional review
  • Relationship Management:
    Manage and develop relationships with our third-party supplier(s), affiliate partners, and internal stakeholders in an effort to enhance partnerships and drive efficiencies and bottom-line impacts
  • Logistics:
    Support team members as a back-up to single-threaded roles
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
    Develop a deep understanding of the data and what it takes to run the engine for affiliate marketing, including capabilities, technology, programs, training, key legal/compliance concerns, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, military experience or successful history (skills) in similar roles
  • At least 2 years of project, process, or risk management experience
  • At least 2 years of vendor or relationship management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Process certifications (LEAN, Six Sigma, Business Process Management) or project management certifications (CAPM, PMP)
  • 3+ years of project, process, or risk management experience
  • 3+ years of vendor or relationship management experience
  • 2+ years of customer focus and ability to collaborate across teams to deliver
  • 2+ years of risk management or compliance experience
