Onsite Precast Concrete Project Manager

Location: Travel Required (Midwest & Eastern U.S.)

A fast-growing precast erection company is seeking an experienced Onsite Precast Project Manager to oversee complex, large-scale structural and architectural precast erection projects. With a strong backlog and expanding customer base, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization that specializes in technically challenging work.

This is a hands-on, onsite role requiring regular travel to job sites throughout the Midwest and Eastern United States, with projects structured to allow team members to return home on weekends whenever possible.

Position Overview

The Traveling Project Manager is responsible for managing precast erection projects across multiple states from mobilization through close-out. This role requires strong field leadership, technical precast knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with customers, fabricators, engineers, and general contractors to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily onsite operations of precast erection projects
• Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews, fabricators, GCs, and engineers
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and project specifications
• Track schedules, productivity, and key project milestones
• Resolve field issues in real time and maintain clear documentation
• Lead site meetings and provide regular progress updates
• Oversee quality control of precast installation
• Assist with planning, sequencing, and project logistics

Required Qualifications

• Precast erection and/or precast fabrication experience required
• Hands-on field experience in construction required
• Strong understanding of precast drawings, rigging, and erection procedures
• Ability to travel regularly and manage multiple active job sites
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license

Compensation & Benefits

• $80,000 - $125,000 salary, based on experience
