Blacklock is partnered with a well-established investment banking platform that is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its Mergers & Acquisitions team, with a focus on the Industrials sector. This is a highly client-facing role, offering significant responsibility across transaction execution, deal leadership, and business development within a collaborative and growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, including managing analysts and associates throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice and maintaining strong long-term relationships
  • Oversee financial modeling, valuation analyses, marketing materials, and due diligence processes
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including senior bankers, legal counsel, accounting advisors, and private equity counterparts
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including pitch preparation, industry research, and origination support
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
Qualifications:
  • 6–10 years of investment banking experience with a strong emphasis on M&A transactions
  • Prior experience covering Industrials (e.g., manufacturing, distribution, engineering services, building products, transportation, or related subsectors)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex transactions and manage multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to interact confidently with senior executives
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA is a plus
