Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Assistant ensures that our building remains a safe and comfortable place to live and work. The Maintenance Assistant uses electrical and mechanical expertise to service equipment, maintain physical plant operations, make repairs, and keep our buildings and grounds looking their best. The right person will work well individually and on a team, and be courteous and helpful to our senior residents.
Key Responsibilities- General maintenance including, but not limited to, basic carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and window/glass repairs and preventative maintenance
- Corrective actions in response to emergency conditions, such as flooding, and clean up
- Apartment turnover work including carpet cleaning, painting, and unit repairs
- Regular inspection of building and grounds to ensure standards are met
