Facility Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Responsibilities- Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted on checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure dirt, dust, litter and debris are removed from all areas of the facility using brooms, mops, brushes and other hand tools.
- Make multiple rounds daily to pick up and discard trash and debris.
- Empty all trash receptacles inside and out, including offices.
- Note and report burned out light bulbs and any malfunctions of equipment.
- Clean all spills.
- Submit requests for repairs or maintenance.
- Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Clean all restrooms.
- Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies.
- Maintain a daily janitorial service sheet.
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment as applicable for the job.
- Shovel and clean snow from entrances or exit ramps and in areas designated by the Facility Manager.
- Report any unknown, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager in a timely manner.
- Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the Facility Manager/Supervisor and resolve customer complaints independently or with supervisor assistance.
- Be familiar with all aspects of the operation and cover other duties as needed.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and arrive in full uniform before and during scheduled shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Pay Rate: $16.16 per hour
- Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education. May require facility maintenance, electrical and/or painting experience or skills training depending on the job assignment and facility. - License Requirement: Must have and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
- Availability to Work: Special shift requirements will vary by location. Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.

- Physical Demands: Regularly required to use hands, communicate with customers and colleagues; sit, stand or walk for long periods; able to lift 50 pounds or more; able to work in dust, chemicals and varying weather conditions; and to perform other physical tasks as needed.
