• Follow all safety requirements and procedures at all times.
• Perform preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use at beginning and end of the shift.
• Handle floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surface.
• Provide floor maintenance; vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Remain flexible and responsive to changes in scope of duties.

• Knowledge of materials, methods, implements and devices used in cleaning building area.
• Ability to understand and speak English and follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Team player ability.
• Knowledge of vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, polishing machines and general housekeeping equipment.
• Work under pressure and time constraints.
• Flexible shift including evening and weekend assignments.

• Stand and reach with hands and arms frequently.
• Walk safely and climb stairs.
• Hearing sufficient to clearly hear voices, alarms, bells and horns.
• Read and write printed words and numbers in printed form.
• Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, controls; talk or hear.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; use safety equipment if exceeding 40 lbs.
• Perform various janitorial tasks related to building and equipment maintenance.
• Push/pull custodial cart/trash cart up to 100 lbs. on concrete, tile and carpeted floors.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ver work experience as a Floor Technician.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively around the public and other employees.
• Candidates must pass a background check.
