Richmond – Environmental Associate

Overview

Hunton seeks an experienced attorney to join its Environmental Law practice group as a full-time partnership-track associate in Richmond, VA or Washington, DC.

• Provide environmental law services including compliance counseling, enforcement defense, litigation, permitting and other regulatory authorizations, or agency rule making.
• Collaborate with a diverse team and engage in client contact, mentoring and training.
• Work on interesting, long-term projects with established clients.

• At least four years of experience practicing environmental law in the contexts of compliance counseling, enforcement defense, litigation, permitting and other regulatory authorizations, or agency rule making.
• Experience in private practice, a trade association, and/or a government agency is preferred.
• Virginia bar membership is preferred and, in any event, required within one year of joining the firm.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivation, good judgment, responsiveness, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity.
