Workers' Attorney

Our client, an AV-rated regional insurance defense law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney (1-5 years) to join its Workers' Compensation practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with strong academic credentials, solid litigation experience, and effective communication skills to grow within a respected and well-established firm.

• 1-5 years of experience handling workers' compensation matters
• Experience across all phases of workers' compensation litigation, including:
• Pretrial motions
• Depositions
• Expert witnesses
• Trial preparation
• Some civil litigation experience is a plus
• Active Virginia Bar admission required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage and track billable hours accurately in compliance with firm and client requirements

• Case evaluation and legal analysis
• Legal research and regulatory compliance
• Drafting briefs, pleadings, and discovery
• End-to-end case management (from opening through hearing)
• Client consultations and witness interviews
• Advocacy on behalf of clients through depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations
