Senior Claims Adjuster

Joining their Claims team, this role will handle complex, high-severity casualty and specialty claims from initial intake through resolution. The position will also support the development of junior adjusters and contribute to ongoing process and performance improvements.

• Handle high-exposure casualty and specialty claims, including complex litigated matters.
• Assess coverage, liability, damages, and exposure to guide strategy, reserving, and resolution.
• Draft coverage position letters (RORs, DISCLAIMERS) and manage negotiations, mediations, and settlements.
• Ensure indemnity, legal approach, and payments align with best practices and internal controls.
• Partner closely with underwriting and claims leadership, maintaining strong communication and clear reporting.
• Support claims improvement initiatives, mentor junior adjusters, and travel as needed for trials/mediations.

• Strong casualty and/or specialty claims background (or related litigation), with increasing responsibility.
• Excess & Surplus lines experience required, including complex multi-jurisdictional coverage issues.
• Exposure to specialty segments (Energy, Casualty, Financial Lines) preferred.
• Technical expertise in large-loss claims ($1M+), regulatory standards, and claims best practices.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills; comfortable working across internal teams and claims systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, English, or similar) beneficial but not essential.
• Adjuster licence and/or professional claims certifications preferred.
