Linux Systems Administrator – Richmond, VA / Dallas, TX – Hybrid

• Perform regular system administration activities, including moderate‑level infrastructure support, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Implement upgrades and patches; recommend and remediate problems and vulnerabilities to maintain an stable environment.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
• Apply analytics on past incident data to predict issues and take proactive actions.
• Identify toil in operating systems, build self‑services, and contribute to coding best practices.
• Develop automated processes for lifecycle management, OS software management, and configuration management.
• Execute Linux OS maintenance.
• Participate in on‑call rotation.
• Practice change control, strictly adhering to client change control policy and guidelines.
• Initial work schedule:
  Monday–Friday, then transition to either Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday.

• 3–5+ years of Red Hat Linux administration, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patching experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite for Linux patching.
• Proficiency in automation and orchestration technologies:
  Ansible (Playbooks, Tower), Python, Power Shell.
• Experience using Git Hub or other version control tools for source code management.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of VMware and understanding of storage & blade technologies that integrate with virtualization.
• General working knowledge of NAS, SAN, and networking.
• Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban) strongly desired.
• Familiarity with Big Fix, RHEV, Oracle RAC is a plus.
• Experience using Service Now.
