Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Lead the adoption and implementation of Agile and Kanban practices within a network operations team transitioning from traditional delivery models.
  • Design and optimize a Kanban system tailored to network operations, including workflow states aligned to incident response, change management, and operational support processes.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies appropriate for operations teams (e.g., stand‑ups, retrospectives, service delivery reviews, backlog refinement).
  • Guide the team in effectively managing high severity incidents, outage recovery efforts, maintenance windows, and emergency changes without compromising overall workflow stability.
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, flow‑based delivery, and operational agility.
  • Partner with leadership to align team objectives with organizational goals and scaled planning structures within Jira Align.
  • Implement metrics and reporting that support operational transparency, including cycle time, lead time, throughput, aging work, and capacity trends.
  • Guide the team in managing unplanned work and high‑severity incidents without disrupting overall flow and commitments.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and adaptability within a fast‑paced network operations environment.
  • Ensure Jira Software and Jira Align are effectively utilized to provide visibility into work intake, prioritization, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying process bottlenecks, reducing work‑in‑progress overload, and improving response and recovery times.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners across network, infrastructure, and production support functions to improve coordination and delivery.
Qualifications:
  • 3-6+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with demonstrated expertise in Scrum and Kanban practices.
  • Proven experience leading Agile transformations within operational, infrastructure, or production support environments (not limited to software development).
  • Experience supporting network operations teams, with familiarity in enterprise networking concepts (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of flow‑based systems, Kanban principles, and Lean practices, particularly in environments with high levels of unplanned work.
  • Experience implementing Agile practices for teams new to Agile methodologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with Jira Software and Jira Align, including backlog management, workflow configuration, reporting, and metrics tracking.
  • Experience operating within scaled Agile environments (e.g., SAFe or equivalent frameworks).
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams through Agile maturity, continuous improvement, and sustainable delivery practices.
  • Strong understanding of incident management, operational risk, and high‑severity event coordination.
  • Experience supporting network, infrastructure, or IT operations teams preferred.
  • Agile certifications preferred (e.g., CSM, CSP, PMI‑ACP, ICA‑ACC, or equivalent).
