Director, Data Analysis - Fraud Data Team

Job Summary

Capital One is a Fortune 200 company that focuses on data-driven decision-making. They are seeking a Director for their Data Analysis team to develop and execute data management strategies and oversee data quality monitoring and management practices.

Responsibilities
:

• Develop and execute on data management strategy

• Define and monitor KRI’s and escalate areas of non-compliance as appropriate

• Oversee the design and execution of data controls

• Oversee data quality monitoring and data issue management practices

• Monitor the health of data catalog metadata

• Manage team of high performing data professionals

Qualifications
:
Required
:

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 8 years of experience performing data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master’s Degree plus at least 6 years of experience performing data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.

• At least 6 years of experience performing professional data analysis work

• At least 6 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies

• At least 4 years of experience managing people

Preferred
:

• Master’s Degree

• 10+ years of Professional Data Analysis experience

• 5+ years of Big Data experience (AWS and Spark)

• 5+ years of cloud native (AWS) data processing experience

• 5+ years of Process Management experience

• 5+ years of Project Management experience

• 5+ years of experience with Python

• 5+ years of Data Governance experience

• 2+ years of experience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming)
