Position Description

We are seeking a Scrum Master II / Operational Agile Coach to support a high-performing Network Operations environment within a large, enterprise-scale organization.

This role is ideal for an Agile professional who thrives in IT operations, infrastructure, or production support environments — not just software development teams. You will lead the adoption of Kanban and flow‑based Agile practices in a fast‑paced setting that includes high‑severity incidents, operational risk management, and unplanned work.

You will play a key role in transforming traditional operational delivery models into high‑visibility, metrics‑driven Agile systems that improve throughput, stability, and response times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Agile and Kanban transformation within a Network Operations / IT Operations team
  • Design and optimize flow‑based systems including WIP limits, workflow states, and service classes
  • Implement metrics such as cycle time, lead time, throughput, aging work, and capacity trends
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies tailored for operations teams (daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, service reviews, backlog refinement)
  • Coach teams in managing high‑severity incidents, outage recovery, emergency changes, and maintenance windows without disrupting flow
  • Partner with leadership to align operational goals with scaled planning frameworks
  • Drive adoption and optimization of Jira Software and Jira Align (backlog management, reporting, workflow configuration)
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and reducing work‑in‑progress overload
  • Collaborate across network, infrastructure, and production support teams to improve coordination and delivery
Required Skills/Education
  • 3–6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
  • Strong expertise in Kanban, Lean principles, and flow‑based delivery systems
  • Experience supporting Network Operations, Infrastructure, IT Operations, or Production Support teams
  • Solid understanding of incident management, major incident coordination, and operational risk environments
  • Hands‑on experience with Jira Software and Jira Align
  • Experience in Scaled Agile environments (SAFe or equivalent frameworks)
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams new to Agile and drive Agile maturity
  • Familiarity with enterprise networking concepts (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) preferred
  • Agile certifications such as CSM, CSP, PMI‑ACP, ICA‑ACC, or SAFe preferred
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Work in a mission‑critical enterprise operations environment
  • Influence large‑scale Agile transformation in IT infrastructure and network operations
  • High‑visibility role with measurable operational impact
  • Hybrid flexibility across multiple major U.S. cities
  • Opportunity for long‑term extension or permanent placement
