Ping Engineer

Job Summary (Ping Engineer - Richmond, VA)

• Analyze, enhance, and support complex Okta Single Sign On (SSO) platforms for SaaS and GCP environments.
• Collaborate with enterprise identity teams (Ping Federate, PingID, AWS Identity Center, Okta).
• Manage enterprise cloud infrastructure in AWS and GCP.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions for internal customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity incidents; lead or participate in incident resolution.
• Develop automated solutions using scripts, pipelines, and server‑less cloud technologies.
• Prepare architecture, standards, design, and implementation documentation.
• Assess authentication services for improvement opportunities and develop action plans.
• Participate in disaster recovery, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and maintenance to ensure high system availability.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT.
• At least 1 year of experience with enterprise IdPs (Okta or GCP).
• At least 1 year of cloud infrastructure management experience.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred:
  Over 5 years’ experience with Okta (policy management, SAML, OpenID Connect, oAuth
  2.0, etc.).
• Preferred:
  Over 5 years’ scripting experience (Bash, NodeJS, Python, etc.).
• Preferred:
  Over 5 years’ experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM).
