Position DescriptionSeneca Resources is seeking a highly skilled Cloud / Dev Ops Engineer III to support a mission‑critical national financial infrastructure environment. This role is ideal for a senior‑level cloud professional who thrives in complex, high‑impact environments and enjoys building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms.
You will serve as a hands‑on technical leader embedded within Agile Application Development Teams, collaborating closely with architects, developers, and platform engineers to design, build, and optimize enterprise‑grade cloud infrastructure. This role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC),

Cloud Infrastructure & Dev Ops Engineering- Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Architect and manage Git Lab CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and repository governance
- Build and deploy containerized workloads using Amazon ECS
- Implement secure IAM policies, secrets management, and identity governance
- Develop automated deployment pipelines for cloud‑native platforms
- Support multi‑account cloud governance and landing zone architectures
- Implement blue/green, multi‑region, and high‑availability deployment strategies
- Engineer resilient, scalable, and secure cloud environments
- Partner with architects and engineering teams to design cloud‑native solutions
- Support enterprise cloud migration initiatives (on‑prem ? cloud)
- Contribute to cloud Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and modernization strategies
- Apply Well‑Architected Framework principles and cloud‑native design patterns
- Ensure compliance with security standards (IAM, WAF, OWASP, SAML, vulnerability management)
- Act as a technical leader within Agile development teams
- Participate in sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives, and reviews
- Independently manage and deliver story board tasks
- Create and review merge requests (MRs)
- Mentor junior engineers and promote Dev Ops best practices
- Drive reliability engineering, automation, and operational excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6–8+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering
- Strong hands‑on expertise in:
- Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Git Lab CI/CD pipelines & repository strategy
- Bash scripting
- IAM & Secrets Management
- Amazon ECS
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience embedded within Application Development Teams
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer)
- Experience with:
- Docker, Kubernetes, or Open Shift
- Multi‑account cloud governance (Landing Zones)
- Multi‑region deployments and blue/green strategies
- Hybrid and multi‑cloud environments
- Cloud cost optimization (Fin Ops)
- Exposure to:
- Monitoring/logging tools (ELK, Splunk, Cloud Watch)
- Microservices and serverless architectures
- Financial services or regulated industry experience
- Java full‑stack background (Angular/React)
- Demonstrated technical leadership or mentorship experience
- Master’s degree in IT or related field
