Job Summary
The client is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Manager with ITIL certification to support the IT Service Management (ITSM) function. This role is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving the Configuration Management process
, ensuring accuracy and integrity of Configuration Items (CIs) and the CMDB
. The Configuration Manager will collaborate across IT teams to support change, incident, problem, asset management, and overall service reliability. Strong experience integrating Azure resources with a third‑party CMDB is required.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Configuration Management processes aligned with ITIL best practices and applicable policies
- Own and manage the CMDB
, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance - Partner with Change, Incident, Fin Ops, Infrastructure, Security, Network, and Application teams
- Define and enforce CI identification, control, and reporting standards
- Monitor, audit, and improve configuration data quality
- Establish and track KPIs for Configuration Management maturity and CMDB health
- Support IT governance, risk, and compliance initiatives
- Provide guidance on configuration management best practices
- Proven experience in Configuration Management within an ITIL environment
- Hands‑on experience managing Azure resources and integrating them with a CMDB
- Strong experience with Ivanti Neurons for ITSM
, including CI modeling and discovery - Solid understanding of ITIL v3/v4 (Configuration, Change, Incident, Problem Management)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience with automation and discovery tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Scripting knowledge (Power Shell, Python)
- Exposure to audit, compliance frameworks
, and government IT policies
