VaCMS Business Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA 23219 (Remote)

Pay Rate: $28.85/hr. without benefits

Duration: 06+ months

• VaCMS experience.
• Experience analyzing complex processes and developing business solutions to complex system issues.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional requirements by working closely with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their needs.
• Experience researching and gathering data, compiling results, and solving problems, using a variety of research / analytical methodologies.
• Performs user acceptance testing for SNAP, MA, TANF, and EAP. Testing will include writing scripts, assisting with requirement sessions, and performing testing in VaCMS and/or Common Help. This can include Change Requests, M&O items, and testing for special releases.
• Experience in business process design and the development of system requirements and business rules. Strong communication skills, both oral and in writing.
• Experience providing high-level customer service to both internal and external clients professionally and courteously.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio), and Google Docs. Microsoft Teams.

• Provide expertise in the business processes supported by each application, gather business requirements, and prepare and review General System Design documents.
• Recommend improvements, develop test plans and strategies, and conduct the testing of modifications to the applications.
• Provide support in the interface between business process design and system delivery, including the support of the business process re-engineering and the identification of the required business functional change.
• Lead mid to high-level projects that are Agency priorities, ensuring that the programming staff is provided with the comprehensive specifications and functional requirements necessary to meet the business needs of the organization.
• Act as the functional expert for systems applications and must possess a complete understanding of the business processes being supported by systems to resolve the most complex issues.
