Ideal candidate profile: Seeking an Azure Cloud Architect with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and securing large‑scale cloud infrastructures. This individual combines deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure with strong architectural vision, business acumen, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

• Advising agency on architecture and security concerns associated with Azure, including in‑place migrations and refactoring.
• Making recommendations on lift‑and‑shift and on‑premise to cloud‑native migrations.
• Recommend refactoring within Azure environment.
• Conducting testing within Azure to demonstrate a minimal viable product of an architecture.
• Understanding available offerings from COV, MSI, and other connected parties.
• Making configurations to Azure in support of agency‑level objectives, primarily to Azure‑based services.
• Signing a Non‑Disclosure Agreement.

• Microsoft Certification in Azure Solutions Architect.
• Strong knowledge of cloud fundamentals.
• Knowledge of single and multi‑cloud strategies and implications.
• Experience designing cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Azure network and storage architectures.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Key Vault, Entra ).
• Strong knowledge and experience with Azure Functions, Azure Web App/App Service, Containers, micro‑services architecture, and serverless architecture.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cloud security principles including zero‑trust, network segmentation, just‑in‑time access, conditional access, etc.
• Experience architecting solutions that meet RPO and RTO objectives in Azure.
• Ability to write professional documentation, including position papers and architecture documentation.
• Experience managing cloud‑based security posture activities, including vulnerability remediation and perimeter defense architecture.
• Knowledge and experience in Dev Ops, including Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub Enterprise Cloud.
• Knowledge of data storage products like SQL Server, Oracle, and non‑relational products like Cosmos DB.
• Strong communication skills, able to effectively communicate with technical and business staff.
