Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking a Senior Dynamics 365 Developer to support our hybrid position in Richmond, VA. The role will involve Microsoft’s Power Platform (Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse) and require on‑site presence three days in the first few months, then one day per month.

Location: Richmond, VA – 23219 (Hybrid)

Salary: $130‑140 K per annum with benefits.

• Expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement – Customer Service module.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 customization, configuration, development, deployment, and usage.
• Requirements gathering, fit‑gap analysis, design, configuration, implementation, testing, and support of Power Platform solutions.
• Design and develop new web components using .NET, SQL, Azure, Power Platform and C#.
• Troubleshoot and remediate technical issues, document solutions, work with system administrators and other IT resources to implement fixes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft’s licensing model for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
• Adhere to best practices when implementing business solutions and define/refine governance approach for VDOT.
• Develop and disseminate documentation (requirements, recommendations, technical analysis, etc.) on platform usage.
• Prepare mockups/prototypes based on requirements and use Power Platform features/tools to offer solutions that meet business needs.
• Function as a liaison between IT and business units; serve as point of contact for issue logging, tracking, and resolution.
• Assist customers in discerning between Dynamics 365/Power Apps/Power Automate and other technology offerings when gathering requirements; identify efficient solutions and recommend alternatives.
• Contribute to improving processes and policies within the Business Enablement Services program.
• Preferred: experience with Dev Ops in Power Platform (Power Pipelines/ALM Accelerator).

• 5 years as D365 Technical Lead with customer development using .NET, JavaScript, and C#.
• 8 years creating and managing solutions using Dynamics 365 Customer Service, customization and implementation of Forms, Views, Plug‑Ins, Workflows, and BPFs.
• 3 years in Power Platform, Dataverse, using standard/premium connectors with Power Apps/Power Automate.
• Dev Ops experience in Power Platform/D365 environments (desired).
• Experience with data integrations and migrations using ADF & SSIS packages.
