Position Summary

The Benefits Coordinator administers and supports employee benefits programs (health, retirement, wellness, etc.). Ensures accurate HRIS data, compliance with regulations, effective vendor coordination, and clear communication to associates. Assists Benefits department with various administrative duties related to benefit plan administration. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities
  • Drives the day-to-day administration and operation of health and welfare benefit plans, wellness initiatives, and/or leave of absence programs and policies. Collaborates across all levels of the organization to address basic to moderately complex benefits-related inquiries and provide guidance that supports the evolving needs of the business.

  • Leverages HRIS and technology-driven solutions to administer benefit programs efficiently and transparently, aligning the associate experience with organizational excellence. Must be skilled in completing data analysis in Excel.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities to streamline and enhance administrative processes to uphold data integrity and ensure accurate, timely reporting. Acts as a key liaison among benefit vendors, HR Partners, and management for all matters related to leave of absence administration. Partners closely with Payroll to ensure seamless and accurate compensation during employee leaves.

  • Ensures compliance by applying knowledge of federal and state leave laws as well as PFG’s internal policies and pay practices. May facilitate voluntary benefits, including error reconciliation and issue resolution.

  • Coordinates with COBRA and third-party benefit enrollment administrators to address and resolve situational issues.

  • Leads the administration of the tuition reimbursement program, overseeing policy implementation, associate eligibility, and timely processing of educational assistance requests. Supports the local service award program by coordinating recognition efforts, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of awards, and fostering associate engagement.

  • Manages responses to government and agency inquiries, including CMS coordination of benefits and formal documentation requests such as plan documents. Maintains timely, accurate, and compliant communication in accordance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
