SUMMARY: Provide a homelike setting for our residents by ensuring that the community's common areas and residents' rooms are clean, orderly and in an attractive condition.

Responsibilities

Consistent and predictable attendance.

Ensure that the community is clean, orderly and in an attractive condition by cleaning all common areas, resident rooms and bathrooms including, but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming and making beds according to schedule. Follow the housekeeping schedule established by the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Director of Maintenance & Housekeeping.

Become familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all housekeeping supplies. Attend training on annual basis.

When finished with assigned and scheduled duties, assist with laundry duties as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor or Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping.

Attend training as required as well as complete all Relias training as scheduled.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Information Required for Completely Satisfactory Performance

Knowledge of principles of customer service that includes customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Knowledge and understanding of cleaning supply mixtures.
Understanding of Safety Data Sheets.
Attention to detail.
Ability to manage time and responsibilities.

Education and Licenses

Requires the ability to read and write and to perform basic arithmetical calculations. Equivalent to 2 years of U.S. high school education.

Special Requirements

Must have ability to communicate as per section 22

VAC
40-73-110.

Must be considerate and accepting of the aged, frail and disabled person.

Appropriate attire and good personal hygiene are expected.

Must comply with and implement all Company Policies and Procedures as well as the Employee Handbook.

Must support and promote the "Rights and Responsibilities of Residents of Adult Care Residences."

Must maintain confidentiality with regard to residents, staff and Company information.

Must participate in training and in-service programs as required by the Company and/or applicable State's Standards including, but not limited to, OSHA required training, CPR, etc.

Staff will not accept gratuities from resident, family members, vendors or visitors.
