Overview
Autism Center of Excellence is seeking a compassionate and reliable Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing Richmond-area team. This role provides direct ABA therapy services to children with autism in clinic, home, and community-based settings
.
As a BT/RBT, you will work one-on-one with clients under the supervision of a BCBA to help children build communication, social, and daily living skills in meaningful, real-world environments.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, value professional growth, and want to build a long-term career in ABA.
Schedule & Availability- Availability required between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Schedules are based on client needs and program demand
- Weekday availability required;
occasional Saturdays may be needed - Hours are not guaranteed and may vary based on client scheduling
This is a non-exempt, hourly position paid for all hours worked in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws.
Requirements Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required
- RBT certification preferred;
paid training provided for BTs - Experience working with children (professional or personal) preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client locations
- Ability to work in clinic, home, and community-based environments
- Strong communication, professionalism, and dependability
- Genuine interest in working with children with autism
- Consistent availability aligned with client schedules
- Coachable, team-oriented mindset
- Desire to learn and grow within the ABA field
- Behavior Technician (BT): $18–$21 per billable hour
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): $22–$27 per billable hour
- Pay based on experience and certification
