RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 34-bed medical surgical unit with maximum capacity of 43 patients

• 5:1 patient ratio

• Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 techs, 1 unit secretary at max capacity

• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 1 tech, 1 unit secretary at max capacity

• Work with remote telemetry equipment

• Use Meditech EMR system

• General medical surgical floor that is also designated as stroke and neuro unit

• Must have BLS certification

• NIH Stroke certification preferred

• ACLS certification preferred

• Must wear navy scrubs

• Ideal candidates are upbeat, engaged, and compassionate

• Perform typical medical surgical procedures along with stroke and neurological care
