About the Role

We’re hiring a Payer Contract Management Coordinator to join a rapidly expanding organization in the specialty healthcare space. This is a direct hire, long-term role with a growing company that is investing heavily in its revenue cycle and contracting strategy.

This position will play a critical role in negotiating and managing payer contracts to ensure competitive reimbursement rates and support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead payer contracting activities from initiation through negotiation, amendment, and renewal
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for health insurance payers and manage negotiations independently
  • Analyze reimbursement models and financial impact of contract changes
  • Benchmark CPT reimbursement rates against market data to ensure competitive positioning
  • Partner with RCM, Finance, Operations, and Clinical teams to align contracts with revenue goals
  • Prepare executive-level summaries outlining financial impact, risks, and opportunities
  • Ensure contracts meet regulatory, legal, and compliance standards
  • Monitor contract performance and identify optimization or renegotiation opportunities
  • Maintain contract documentation, terms, rates, and renewal timelines
Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)
  • Healthcare payer contract coordinating and/or negotiating experience is required
  • Prior experience working directly with payers (health insurance companies)
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies, CPT codes, and revenue cycle concepts
  • Experience analyzing contract financial impact and reimbursement trends
  • Ability to work independently and influence internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in specialty healthcare (ophthalmology, specialty clinics, multispecialty groups, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Experience collaborating with RCM, Finance, and Clinical leadership
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
