Shift: Monday-Friday - 11PM - 7:30AM

The practice of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is performed by radiologic technologists responsible for the use of radio frequencies (RF's) within a magnetic field on humans of all ages (newborn to geriatric) for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. An MRI technologist performs MRI procedures utilizing MRI scanners and power injectors producing cross‑sectional and 3D images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.

Knowledge and Competency

Novice‑level experience. Competent in routine studies.

Working knowledge of technical standards, the scope of practice, department and health system policies, safety, and service standards.

Working knowledge of imaging equipment, image processing software, instrumentation, and ancillary patient care equipment.

Education, Certification & Experience

The position requires certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) within the first 90 days of hire.

Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
