Role Responsibilities

As a Child Behavior Specialist, you will support and implement individualized plans based on clients’ targets and goals. Your focus will be on reducing unsafe behaviors while increasing communication and social skills. You will observe client skills, collect data for assessment, and develop program goals in collaboration with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. You will work with children, adolescents, and young adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities in our center‑based program that promotes language, behavior, social, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

Education
High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science preferred.
Experience
Previous experience working with children. Current registered behavior technician (RBT) credential in good standing or completion of a 40‑hour RBT course, competency assessment, and exam within 6 months of hire (training compensation provided).
Schedule
Availability in the afternoon until 6:00 p.m. is required.

Compensation

Entry‑level direct care pay starts at $20 per hour and increases based on experience and certification, up to $26 per hour for ABA‑specific education. Indirect care pay ranges from $15 to $18 per hour.
