The Imaging Concierge Representative serves as a concierge liaison for external healthcare providers by facilitating the submission and tracking of patient imaging orders to VCU Health. This position oversees the entire workflow—from order receipt and data entry to scheduling, exam completion, and delivery of final reports. The Imaging Concierge Representative functions as the primary point of contact for provider offices, offering timely updates and ensuring a seamless experience throughout the patient care process.
EssentialJob Statements
- Acts as a direct line of communication for outside providers office to correspond with regarding their patients' imaging services.
- Receives and transcribes imaging-related orders from outside providers.
- Communicates with provider office to request new orders, insurance information, or demographics concerning patient.
- Uses a tracker log to enter patient s' step in process to be sent to outside providers on a weekly basis.
- Checks on patient orders to ensure timely scheduling of exams.
- Acts as a direct line of communication for providers for same-day or urgent requests.
- Sends reports to outside providers once exams have been completed.
- Performs other duties as assigned and/or participates in special projects to support the mission of VCUHS and department. Provides assistance to team members. Accepts alternate assignments as required.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort in expanding knowledge in new digital tools.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to upholding patient confidentiality.
