SummaryA Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) supports Principal Investigators (PI) in the day‑to‑day activation, execution, and management of clinical research studies or protocols. Active clinical licensure is required. The CRN engages in intensive participant contact and performs clinical, data‑management, and regulatory tasks to advance research objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities- Assist PI in assessing study feasibility, determining participation eligibility, and establishing guidelines for clinical data collection.
- Serve as patient/participant recruiter and coordinate enrollment, retention, and data collection activities.
- Manage data processing, resolution of discrepancies and queries, case‑report‑form completion, database use/management, and archiving of data.
- Lead development of best‑practice guidance and work aids for research teams, including electronic data capture and interaction with multiple health‑care delivery systems.
- Maintain mastery of federal and state regulations, sponsor guidance, university policies, and compliance notices.
- Maintain current CITI, GCP, and other mandatory credentials; understand IRB requirements and human‑subjects protection regulations.
- Provide ongoing educational resources and expert advice to the research team and collaborators.
- Up to 5 remote days per month (upon training and manager approval).

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active clinical RN licensure.
- Minimum 2 years experience managing data in clinical research or healthcare technologies (EDC software, XML, OnCore, EMR, Red Cap, DEEP6A).
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Visio, Smartsheets, and Adobe.
- Demonstrated knowledge of oncology, clinical research, or related disease area terminology (2+ years professional experience).
- Require own transportation to serve patients in the service area.
- Master’s degree or equivalent education, experience, and training.
- 3+ years experience supporting data management in clinical research with oncology disease focus.
- 1+ years experience with complex protocols and federal, state, local regulations.
- 1+ years current knowledge of oncology, cancer treatment, and care.
- Evidence of effective communication with research participants and/or patients on clinical trials.
- Collaboration with Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) or similar human‑subject regulations knowledge.
- Certifications such as SOCRA, ACRP, or CRA for Research Administration.
Commensurate with experience; minimum $68,000.
