Embryologist

Responsibilities

• Operate high quality andrology and assisted reproductive technology (ART) laboratories.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, FDA, and SART regulations and complete QA and QC activities.
• Perform semen analyses and sperm washes.
• Perform ART procedures including oocyte identification, oocyte insemination, intracytoplasmic sperm insemination (ICSI), embryo culture, and assisted hatching.
• Assist with embryo biopsy for PGD/PGS and embryo transfer.
• Teach medical and graduate students laboratory embryology and andrology techniques as needed.

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in andrology or embryology laboratories.
• Experience in an academic medical center (preferred).
• B.S. in biology or a related field.

• Rotating weekend coverage required.
• Some evening work required.

• Physical lifting 20-50 lbs.
• Prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, frequent bending, walking, climbing stairs/ladder, reaching overhead, repetitive keyboard/mouse motions.
• Mental/sensory: strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, logical thinking.
• Emotional: fast‑pace environment, steady pace, ability to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, adaptability to frequent change.
