RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 32-bed medical care unit on 4 west floor of main building

• Patient ratio of 6:1

• Required to work every other weekend and major holidays

• No on-call requirements

• Must be willing to work weekends as assigned

• Must have ability to work with admission/discharge high turnover daily

• No history of attendance concerns required

• Float to any similar level of care (med surg) or potentially stepdown with med surg assignment

• Work with standard nursing equipment, BiPAP (Stable), Mid/Flow, PD, Heparin Gtts, Phillips Cardiac Monitors

• Use Meditech 6.0 EMR system

• Primarily care for cardio-pulmonary patients but may receive any general medical patients

• Monitor patients for cardiac needs (do not typically treat arrhythmias)

• May receive stable Covid-19 patients

• Required certification: BLS only (ACLS is NOT required)

• Dress code:
Navy scrubs, closed toe and heel shoes required

• Work within collaborative team environment with varying nurse experience levels from new graduates to 20+ years
