Overview
The Faculty Employment Coordinator assists with the successful credentialing and onboarding of physicians and advanced practice providers. The Coordinator handles all aspects of initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging for physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. This role interacts with Department/Divisional Chairs Offices, Human Resources, School of Medicine, MCVP, and Health System Leadership.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support tracking licensure, moonlighting, creating expense reports, maintaining supplies, and related tasks.
- Coordinate interview and recruitment activities for faculty candidates identified and interviewed; undertake and complete other project work as assigned.
- Interact with Department/Divisional Chairs Offices, Human Resources, School of Medicine, MCVP, and other Department Chair Offices and Health System Leadership to support credentialing and onboarding processes.
Experience
REQUIRED:
- Minimum of five (5) years in Human Resources or customer service, secretarial/administrative experience.
- Previous experience using a personal computer, Microsoft Office applications, and email calendaring.
Experience PREFERRED:
- Six (6) years of previous Human Resources or customer service, secretarial/administrative work.
- Previous HR experience in an academic or hospital setting.
- One (1) year of previous experience in recruitment support.
Education/training
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Education/training PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field from an accredited program.
Coordination of interview and recruitment-related activities for faculty candidates who are identified and interviewed. Undertakes and completes other project work as assigned.
