Overview
Virginia Physicians for Women (VPFW) is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Office Greeter to be the first point of contact for patients onsite at our Koger Center location. The position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys constant face-to-face interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping things moving smoothly. A high visibility role, the Greeter is the first impression of VPFW for our patients and guests and is critical to creating a welcoming, efficient, and positive experience for every patient who enters the office.
The Greeter manages high-volume patient flow while supporting front desk operations and assisting with additional administrative tasks as needed.
- Warmly greet and direct patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage high-volume patient flow in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Monitor and track patient schedules using the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with patient check-out, appointment scheduling, and electronic patient communications as needed
- Support front desk operations and special projects between primary greeting responsibilities
- Maintain a professional, calm, and helpful demeanor at all times
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume medical office environment
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Patient-focused attitude with a warm, welcoming presence and great smile
- Comfortable working in an electronic medical records (EMR) system to view and track schedules
- Tech-savvy with a strong desire to assist with additional administrative tasks
- Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred
