Overview
The Center for Evidence-based Partnerships in Virginia (CEP-Va) was founded in 2019 by multiple visionary state leaders from multiple state and local agencies who saw the need for a university-based, independent partner to assist Virginia in its efforts to increase access to quality behavioral health services.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Center of Evidence-Based Partnerships in Virginia (CEP-Va;(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is seeking an Evaluation Coordinator to join our team. The position itself is housed in the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Psychology Department, College of Humanities and Sciences. The selected candidate will serve as Evaluation Coordinator for state-funded research projects aiming to provide ongoing evaluation of evidence-based programs (EBPs), including high-fidelity wraparound (HFW).
Key roles will include collection of evaluation and program fidelity data for each EBP evaluated, data entry and data management of fidelity data, report preparation, and general administrative functions (e.g., communications, file management). Duties will require strong teamwork orientation, attention to detail, and commitment to completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. The position may involve some travel (reimbursable) around the state of Virginia to present findings to partners.
Research Coordinators generally perform administrative and study related duties that are essential to the successful management of research conducted by Principal Investigators (PIs) at the university. This position supports human subject research that is conducted in a clinical or health care environment or requires access to clinical facilities, systems, or data. Typical duties may include scheduling and monitoring of research activities and timelines;
conducting participant interviews, administering study related assessments, and recording observations; coordinating the management, storage, and reporting of study data; monitoring data to maintain quality control; purchasing supplies and tracking expenditures; summarizing study results; preparing reports; and scheduling and booking facilities. They may work independently or as a member of a team. They work under general supervision, resolving most standard issues independently and referring complex issues to an upper-level manager.
Coordinators typically report to a manager or director or may report to a department administrator.

Note:
This position is restricted and continuation is dependent upon grant funding.
The position will be for at least one year and the ideal candidate will be interested in two or more years in the role. The CEP-Va team includes faculty, doctoral-, masters-, and bachelors-level staff, graduate and undergraduate student students, and other collaborators.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, political science, public administration, human services, communication studies, or related field
- Strong organizational skills and fastidious attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong teamwork orientation
- Openness and willingness to engage in team discussions related to social justice
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications
- Learning related to implementation science within medical or behavioral health services
- Interest and appreciation for innovative online tools and digital work spaces (e.g., Slack, Hive)
- Knowledge of and/or experience with evidence-based treatment programs
- Ability to interact professionally with individuals of different backgrounds
- Willingness to take initiative as it relates to project tasks, needs, and improvements
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000
