Work ScheduleMonday‑Friday, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm in Tappahannock and South Hill, VA. Route assignments may change based on business needs.
Essential Duties- Utilize radiopharmaceuticals, oral and IV contrast agents to perform PET, PET/CT and CT examinations.
- Provide quality patient care and comfort and ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions.
- Perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment.
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure smooth imaging tests and capture precise, detailed images.
- Travel up to 100% of the time may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to multi‑task while maintaining great patient care and superior exam quality in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Self‑starter capable of working well independently.
- Ability to follow instructions in stressful environments.
- Superb bedside manner and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- PC proficiency to access job‑related websites, review online documentation, and use Microsoft Office Suite.
- CNMT or RT (N).
- CPR certified (mandatory).
- Advanced certification in modality required within 18 months of hire.
MMR;
Varicella;
Hepatitis B Series;
Tdap; annual Influenza vaccine; COVID‑19 vaccination (if required by facility policy);
Tuberculosis screening (annual or as per facility guidelines).
- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel and crawl.
- Climb up and down stairs.
- Push and pull wheelchairs.
- Carry and lift; move non‑ambulatory patients for transfer or exam.
- Lifts up to 50 pounds occasionally.
