Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating heartfelt and personalized moments, offering immunizations and other services, and solving or escalating patient problems.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting bin inventories, etc.
- Assert a high‑performing attitude, embrace a growth mindset, seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge, and provide proactive feedback.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, volunteer for travel to other store locations as needed.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; protect patient safety and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, voluntary staffing of off‑site clinics) where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification.
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing pharmacy practice, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- At least 16 years of age if no minimum age is mandated by the state board.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in high school or high school equivalency program if no minimum educational requirement is mandated.
- State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state; seek additional resources for details.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks for extended periods, pivot quickly between tasks, and ensure prescription information and label accuracy.
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner, notice patient reactions, and respond appropriately.
- Communication
Skills:
employ verbal and written communication, active listening, and effective questioning. - Mathematical Reasoning: use math to solve problems such as determining the total number of tablets to dispense, day’s supply, and appropriate bottle counts.
- Problem Resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Physical Demands: mobile, stand and lift regularly, reach overhead, move fingers repetitively, lift objects up to 20 lbs, and operate machines with precision.
- Perform any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
- 1–3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
$16.50 – $25.00 per hour (base hourly range). The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
