Program Overview

We seek passionate, hardworking, goal-orientated apprentices. The program provides aspiring Hair Designers an opportunity to work-to-learn the business and technical skills needed to pass the State Board Cosmetology Licensing Test. In addition to experience working alongside Hair Designers in our salons, Mango provides weekly training and education programs. The curriculum gives apprentices the skills needed to earn their license and perform hair services.

Work Commitment

Full‑time commitment with flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Candidates must be able to work at any of our three locations.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for minimum 4 hours
• Occasional ability to climb a ladder and balance
• Use hand and finger dexterity
• Lift and push light weights less than 25 pounds
• Frequent reaching with arms/hands, bending, kneeling, talking, use of hearing and vision

Responsibilities

• Assist in AVEDA rituals and practices
• Shampooing, color mixing, toners, color pull‑throughs
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the salon
• Assist designer team and other tasks assigned by salon management
• Attend classes, complete required coursework and practice hours, and fulfill program requirements
