First Nations Project Officer – APS 5

Our Federal Government client is seeking an APS 5 Project Support Officer to join the Independent Advisory Council (IAC) Secretariat Team. This Council provides critical advice to the Agency’s Board with the views of people with disability, carers and sector experts.

This role is a chance to make a difference. You will help people work together and share their voices. This is important for the IAC, the Agency and the people it helps.

The successful candidate will need to know about administration and project support. You will also understand the needs of First Nations people and people with disabilities and other intersectionality’s.

The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries.

• Secretariat or Government experience
• Qualifications related to administration, accessibility, governance or communications
• Understanding of cultural and disability needs
• Demonstrated strong stakeholder engagement
