Role Summary
The General Accounting Analyst is a key member of our internal finance team, responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger and supporting the monthly close process. In addition to standard corporate accounting duties, this role serves as a functional point of contact for our external accounting agency to ensure seamless data flow and reporting consistency.
Key Responsibilities- Core Accounting Operations:
Prepare and post journal entries, manage accruals and prepayments, and perform complex balance sheet reconciliations. - Internal
Collaboration:
Work cross‑functionally with internal departments (Sales, Ops, Marketing) to track expenses, verify coding, and ensure financial data reflects real‑world activity. - Reporting & Data Translation:
Take financial outputs—including those from our external agency—and create clear, actionable internal reports and dashboards for leadership. - Agency Coordination:
Act as a supporting link to our outside accounting firm by providing requested documentation, clarifying internal data, and ensuring external filings align with internal records. - Budget vs. Actuals:
Perform monthly variance analysis to help department heads understand their spend and stay on track with company goals. - Process Improvement:
Continuously refine internal workflows to improve the speed and accuracy of the financial close.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. - Experience:
3+ years of progressive accounting experience. - Technical
Skills:
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, Quick Books, or similar). - Communication: strong ability to communicate financial concepts to non‑finance internal stakeholders and maintain professional rapport with external partners.

salary: $27 - $36 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
