Manager, Retail Bank Risk Advisor

Key Responsibilities:

• With this role, you have the exciting opportunity to support Small Business Bank to drive well-managed risk management strategy and agenda.
• Advise business to implement and sustain effective processes and controls to proactively identify and mitigate significant risks to the business.
• Be able to contextualize risk and apply a risk-based mindset to prioritize efforts.
• Facilitate detection and recovery of risk issues and events and ensure sustainable, well-managed solutions.
• Engage in change initiatives and provide risk insight.
• Deliver clear verbal and written communications across all levels.
• Leverage technology and data to develop proactive risk insight.
• Implement insightful, consumable reporting that drives executive actions.
• Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the business, Retail Risk Office and other partner groups in driving cross-functional efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients independently.
• At least 3 years of experience in 1st or 2nd line risk management or audit.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Financial Services Risk Management experience.
• 4+ years of 1st or 2nd line risk management or Audit experience.
• 3+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk.
• 1+ years of AML or Fraud experience.
• PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Risk Management certification (such as CERA, CRM, FRM).

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations.

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Risk Manager.
Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Risk Manager.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
